Ghana’s 2023 Legal & Regulatory Outlook

2022 was one of the most difficult years in the economic history of Ghana. Despite a bruised economy, there are new and emerging investments, funding and opportunities that are expected to encourage economic recovery in 2023 and beyond.

Our Financial Institutions & Capital Markets team discusses these new systems and the interventions by the government regarding relevant sectors of the economy. Our Corporate Commercial team also looks at some of the recent legislative developments in Ghana and budget proposals in the past year and their impact on business and industry this year.

In the energy and infrastructure sector, there have also been significant events and trends including the discovery of oil by Eni, a myriad of construction projects and several new laws relevant to the energy, extractives and infrastructure sectors. Our Energy & Infrastructure team discusses these trends and the outlook and projections for the sector in 2023.
