Ghana Energy, Extractives & Infrastructure Outlook 2024

2023 was an eventful year in the Energy, Extractives and Infrastructure sectors because of the commencement, progress and completion of key projects including the relocation of Ameri power plants, progress in the Early Power Project, and the granting of Ghana's first lithium mining lease. Notable in energy was the Gold for Oil policy and the start of oil production from Jubilee South-East. Infrastructure saw advances like the completion of priority projects under the Sinohydro deal.

Relevant laws enacted included amendments to tax, stamp duty, and income tax acts, as well as the introduction of an emissions levy.

Our Energy and Infrastructure team takes a dive into these projects and legislative developments as well as our projections in related sectors in the coming months here.
