Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah was founded in 1990 with the mission to provide our clients with excellent market-leading legal services. Over the years, we have built a reputation for our extensive knowledge and experience from working on the most complex transactions and disputes for foreign investors, local companies, statutory entities and the government.
Our approach is simple. We think differently and lead the way in creating structures that meet the needs of our clients. We understand that our clients operate in increasingly challenging times and are committed to partnering with them to help them navigate these challenges and deliver the highest-quality advice and service.
Our culture and values are deeply rooted in pioneering excellence, innovation, being client-centric, and recruiting and building high-calibre professionals.
For us, excellence is not limited to providing the highest quality of work. It also involves an ongoing effort to enhance our practice and service at every client interaction and engagement across the whole firm.
We are constantly challenging traditional thinking and looking for ways to develop new solutions and create value for our clients. We leverage innovation to serve our clients better and raise the bar in our workplace and market.
The essence of being client-centric means placing our clients at the core of our service delivery. We are dedicated to ethically advancing the commercial interest of our clients and constantly providing creative solutions.
We are dedicated to building a team with a deep understanding of our market, client’s businesses and related industries. We have a diverse and dedicated group of lawyers who work across our practice areas and together on multi-team transactions.
On multi-jurisdictional matters, we collaborate with our network of leading law firms to ensure that our clients have access to excellent and efficient services globally.
Beyond our core mandate of providing valuable legal services to clients, we strive to impact our industry and society. See more on our social impact initiatives in our community page.
In 1990, Kojo Bentsi-Enchill and his classmate and debating partner Divine K.D Letsa founded the firm. Over the past three decades, the firm has built a reputation as a leading corporate and commercial firm in Ghana.
This timeline provides a brief history of the firm with some of the key milestones over the years.
We have established initiatives that allow our employees to participate and contribute to charitable causes and programs, which provide training and mentorship to future generations. We also sponsor and partner with law departments in colleges and universities, helping to shape the future generation of legal professionals.
We partner with businesses (built on similar values and culture) to support emerging businesses through workshops, legal clinics, and webinars. Our Incubator Support Partnership, spearheaded by our Financial Institutions and Capital Markets Practice Group and our Corporate Commercial Practice Group enables us to collaborate with young entrepreneurs and incubator programs providing them with guidance and professional legal advice while creating networking opportunities for them.
We continuously encourage our lawyers to use their expertise and talents to undertake pro-bono cases. Our lawyers assist pro bono clients with legal representation and help them understand and exercise their rights irrespective of their social standing or background.
Inclusion and our employees’ well-being are critical to our firm’s success. One of our top priorities is to empower our staff and make them feel protected, appreciated, and recognized so they can fulfil their full potential.
