Elsie is an Associate with the Energy & Infrastructure practice group of the firm. She has advised clients on the natural resource regulatory regime, infrastructure, land law, regulatory and compliance due diligence, and tax matters.
She provides advice to both local and international companies in the upstream and downstream petroleum industries, mining companies, real estate and construction companies, regulatory agencies and technological support . She has worked for clients including Tullow Ghana Ltd, Kosmos Energy, Bank of Ghana, LUKOIL International Trading and Supply Company (LITASCO SA), ChampionX and IC Group Ltd.
Elsie holds an LLB from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a qualifying certificate from the Ghana School of Law. She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association.
- Advised a multinational oil and gas company on certain tax matters, including transfer pricing and loan interest deductibility issues arising from an inter-company loan.
- Advised a client on a proposed acquisition of shares in a gold refinery.
- Advised a multinational upstream oil company on the approvals required for combined gas sales agreement and amendment of the development plan of petroleum operations
- Conducted a regulatory and compliance due diligence for an international finance firm for the acquisition of shares in the subsidiaries of a real estate company.
