The Energy & Infrastructure practice group combines in-depth industry knowledge and technical legal expertise to advise and assist on infrastructure, energy and natural resources transactions.
We advise on legal, regulatory and practical issues and transactions in infrastructure involving railways, roads and ports and harbours, building and construction, real estate, aviation and aerospace, and shipping and maritime.
In energy, our team has worked on key upstream petroleum matters and has advised clients on all phases of project development; from structuring, due diligence, financing and regulatory matters and local content. We have also worked on many of the high-profile energy and natural gas deals in the downstream petroleum sector.
Our firm has unrivalled local knowledge and understanding of the issues impacting the mining industry and has worked on complex mineral exploration and mining deals involving the biggest mining players in Ghana and global and leading mining companies.
We also deliver seamless expertise on large-scale power projects, both in traditional electricity generation and in renewables such as solar, waste-to-energy and wind.

Atuabo Port: Legal advisers to the sponsor on the project for the development and financing of a free port and related facilities for the hydrocarbons industry in Ghana and the wider Gulf of Guinea region.

SU Tower: Due diligence on the development and term loan facility on the US$28.5 million construction of the SU Tower in North Ridge.

ABS: Joint venture agreement and assistance with setting up in Ghana as a petroleum service company.

Noble Corporation: Joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements, and assisting with Petroleum Commission registration for a permit to operate as an upstream petroleum service company in Ghana.

PwC Ghana: Development of a natural gas distribution network in the Tema municipal area and selection of a concessionaire for the development and operation of the distribution network.

General Electric: General legal representation in respect of the Ghana 1000 Project including LNG Supply System.

Siemens: Review of the legal framework for local content and participation in the energy sector and how it affects its business in Ghana.

Genser Energy Ghana Limited: US$ 366 million facility for the expansion of its existing plants and the development of new plants.

Future Global Resources Ltd: US$ 95 million acquisition of a 90% interest in the Bogoso/Prestea mine held by Golden Star Resources Limited.

PW Mining:  US$ 20 million revolving credit facility for the purchase of mining equipment.
