This year, Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah proudly celebrates 35 years of excellence. From 1990, we have partnered with clients across Ghana, Africa, and beyond to deliver trusted solutions and shape industries. As we mark this milestone, we honour the legacy of our founding partners, the dedication of our people, and the partnerships that have made this journey possible.
To commemorate this anniversary, we are rolling out a series of special initiatives. These include the launch of our SME-focused CAPITALISE Project, a special edition of the KBE Memorial Lecture, an Alumni Networking Event, and a Client Engagement Art Exhibition. Each event reflects our commitment to advancing legal practice, empowering communities, and celebrating the relationships that define who we are.

KBE Memorial Lecture
In memory of our Founding Partner, Kojo Bentsi-Enchill (KBE), and as a tribute to his dedication and efforts in advancing Ghanaian law and legal practice, Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah has established the Kojo Bentsi-Enchill Memorial Lectures.
Our primary aim for these memorial lectures is to provide a forum for discussing topics that held deep significance for KBE. This platform will enable industry experts to share their perspectives and insights on each year’s chosen theme. KBE had a special focus on mentorship and training, having nurtured numerous Ghanaian legal professionals who have excelled across diverse fields. By instituting these annual lectures, his lasting influence on current and upcoming generations continues to be felt, ensuring that his contributions, ideals and values are perpetually cherished and respected.
Each lecture provides a unique opportunity to commemorate KBE’s life and legacy, while fostering learning and community engagement. It offers a platform to honour his memory and his enduring legacy of service and professional excellence.
This year’s lecture will be delivered by Funke Adekoya, SAN. The theme for the lecture is “ Navigating International Commercial Disputes: Africa’s Experience.” Following the lecture, there will be a panel discussion by leading dispute resolution lawyers Ace Anan Ankomah, Kizito Beyuo, Emmanuel Amofa, and Nania Owusu-Ankomah

It promises to be an evening of memories, inspiration, and community. We warmly encourage all alumni to join us for this milestone celebration.

CAPITALISE
Our CAPITALISE project is an initiative designed to empower Ghanaian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), particularly those championing innovative and client-driven solutions, with the necessary knowledge to navigate the complexities of the investment landscape and secure funding successfully.
The project combines legal insight, practical guidance, and investor engagement through a structured cohort programme to help SMEs strengthen their governance structures, understand legal and compliance requirements, and position themselves to meet investor expectations and secure the right type of capital.
Right to Read Initiative
Our Right 2 Read Initiative is a flagship project that promotes literacy among young learners by providing a functional library and a librarian to the community’s public school-Adabraka Circuit 32 Cluster of Schools.
As part of the initiative which supports over 800 pupils, Bentsi-Enchill has introduced interactive tools including an Accelerated Reader Program, which has significantly improved literacy rates by over 65% in the past year.
The initiative is also complemented by technology such as laptops, projectors, and modems to ensure a conducive learning environment.
Mentorship
We are passionate about training the next generation of lawyers and have been the name sponsor of the University of Ghana Moot Court competition for the past three years.
Beyond our sponsorship, we have launched the Bentsi-Enchill Mentorship Programme. This initiative pairs top moot participants with firm partners for six weeks of one-on-one mentoring.
We also organise periodic one-day legal mentorship events to give students real-world exposure to legal practice. The goal is to bridge the gap between academic study and legal practice by connecting students with experienced lawyers and business professionals, equipping these students with what it takes to succeed in law.
